Our Team

Our team is called the Army Of Two. We are A1 and A2. We represent our team in Moggill State School.

A1 was responsible for researching a lot of this information. A2 typed most of the information. We both constructed the website together.

We had absolutely no experience in making web pages before doing this project.

Our Project

We wrote this website to suit children approximately ten years of age who want to research gold mining in Australia and would like to do a gold mining project.

We chose gold mining in Australia. We started to do mining in Australia because A2's dad was a Mining Engineer.We only had three weeks left and we had alot of info on gold mining and not enough on others. We decided to only do it on gold mining.  

Week 2

 

This week we found out what region Australia ment. Today we saw who could make the biggest marshmallow tower out of marshmallows, tooth picks and teamwork. We had two towers, first we started to make a triangle tower but suddenly one of us thought about a different idea about our marshmallow tower. At the end of the challenge the other idea was the second tallest by half a centimetre.

 

Week 3

 

This week we did a warm up challenge and it was about some silly questions. After that we looked at other websites to see if they did a good job, how well they did and what to do in our own website. When we were looking at the websites

 

Week 4                                  

 

We started to talk about our website that we were going to make in the next six weeks. We also talked about our jobs that we were going to do eg. Typer and  designer.    

 

Week 5

 

We leant how to create a link on Word and Platypus. We played and made lots of  bad rumours. Mr McClement told us about what we should do next week.

 

Week 6

 

I started to plan by making a mine map even though AI wasn’t there to help me. I did a lot of working and it was really hard without A1, maybe, little, not really, not hard at all.

 

Week 7

 

At the beginning we did a warm up test. We researched  on coal and gold mining. A1 said what to write and I wrote it down.

 

Week 8

 

We did more research today on bauxite uranium mining!

 

Week 9

 

We started typing our notes into sentences and we got a picture. We also found out where we got our info from.

 

Week 10

 

Today we made our buttons that we would put in our website. We also got them from another website that makes buttons.
