Gourami Thing!
Hi everyone! I am the one and only Gourami Thing! A gourami is a type of tropical fish which originated from India. Enough talk about that. So, you have come across our fantastic website! My main focus in this group is to research information about land wonders. Sometimes I get bored when we were setting up this website, but in the end it was all worth it. If you own a fish aquarium you’re cool. If you don’t, then forget it. So, thanks for reading my profile and I hope that you found it more interesting than anything you have read today. Hi, welcome to MY WEBSITE!!!!! I’m in the team called The Brainstormers for the web challenge. I have had no previous experience in making a website or participating in any web challenge, so this is fairly new and exciting to me. I’m one of the 2 typists and also the researcher (on the computer). I wish I could tell you my real name but I can’t. I hope a lot of people read our website. It would be awesome. Although I call my self a scientist I’m not that smart. I would have called myself something to do with a cat because I love them to bits, but I chose something more ‘professional’ unlike Cichlid nut!! Take a fact about her, she’s really funny. M&M is really funny too, except she’s better at keeping a straight face while cracking a joke. (LOL)

I am probably the Joker in our team (The Brainstormers) cause I can get a bit silly. My main roles in the Web Challenge were to research from books and help think up the natural wonders. I like animals, especially the horse. I have absolutely no experience in making websites. I had some real fun making this website.

We were challenged by Mr. McClement; we had to build the highest tower out of 4 groups using marshmallows and toothpicks. We won by half a centimetre!
It was triangular based. Mr. McClement then told us to create this journal.

Monday 28 July:
Today we did the usual: work. Not on our website. We were working out a name for our group, which was very difficult as we couldn’t agree on a name. I came up with the unspeakables, but M&M and the Scientist wanted The Brainstormers. So we don’t have a name at the moment, but we do know what we are doing our website on: Natural Wonders and Landforms. I didn’t want to go here today, but unfortunately I was forced. I wish I was at home right at the moment…

We have finally decided on a name. The Brainstormers. Our code names for the website are: The Scientist , LoachLuver, and M&M ( ME! ). Today we have been learning how to make a link. We have also started a pretend website. Our team is looking forward to this challenge. But I have my doubts about our arguing problems…….

Today we did a mind map on inspiration, to plan our website. I also made a new internet password, because my old one wasn’t working. We didn’t do much work, ‘cuz’ M&M was away and we spent most of our time giggling. Naughty girls aren’t we?!?!

Today we found out some info on our Australian landmarks. Me and Loachlover found some books while the Scientist looked on the internet. Today is also the opening ceremony in the Beijing Olympics. We had fun here.

Monday 11th of August
Today we did a lot of ‘transferring’ our information from paper to computer, which didn’t take long as we all had different jobs. I did most of the typing and M&M and Loachlover did both of researching in books and reading out what I’m supposed to type. Cichlid nut has grown a liking for the electronic pencil sharpener.

Friday 15th of August
Today Cichlid changed her name from the loach lover to the cichlid nut! Its another type of fish. We have finished nearly everything we’re meant to do for the challenge. We got to do a site about ourselves. This is turning out quite well. I’m glad we were chosen to do this.

Monday 18th of August
Today I learnt a lot of good educational things. I learnt that M&M has a funny hat. But I also learnt some very very very very very important things about nothing. But I also learnt that landmarks are an important part of everyday society. I am weird.

Monday 25th of August
Today me & Cichlid Nut made buttons. The Scientist was away today. We enjoyed ourselves and had a giggle at times. In other words we enjoyed ourselves very much. Unfortunately we don’t have much time to write this.

Today we had a session with our teacher alone. Cichlid nut was at a violin lesson so was not present. We changed our banner today and had a cracking time. We started the actual website info today and that was great! I’m looking forward to tomorrow.

Today we almost completed the website, except three pictures and some last minute editing. It's going well, so there isn't much to say. It's looking good nand we're all excited. Cichlid Nut has changed her name to Gourami Thing! My god! Another type of fish if you're wondering. (LOL)

Today we have finally finished our website. YAY!!!! I think we were 3rd after 2 other groups we have been working with (they have been working on their own websites).
