Fraser Island is a sand island, in fact, the
largest one in the world; being 1840 km2. It reaches a length of about
120km.
Location:
It is located along the southern
coast of QLD, approximately 300km north of Brisbane.
Why it is
Famous:
Fraser Island is a popular tourist destination
plus it made itself famous with its natural beauty. It is also the largest sand
island in the world (as mentioned earlier) and also has natural wonders like
Lake
Wabby.
