What it is:
The Great Barrier Reef is a series
of coral reefs stretching 2000 kilometres along the Queensland
coast.
Location:
You can find the Great Barrier
Reef off the Eastern coast of Queensland,
Australia. Lots of islands, such as
Lady Elliot and Brampton Island, are found on the Great
Barrier Reef!
Why it is
famous:
The Great
Barrier Reef is famous all over the world because of its great
natural beauty. Visitors can see an amazing array of coloured coral and marine
life including: the Lion fish, the Clown fish, the Parrot fish, the
butterfly fish and the green sea turtle featured below.
