Karate
Kid
Hi I’m Karate Kid. As the name suggests I do Karate and I’m
almost a black belt. I am a boy and very smart and strong. I am 10 years old and
I enjoyed this project as much as I like ice-cream on a summer day.
Mr
Mozzie
Hi I’m Mr Mozzie and I am the mozzie of the school band. I
play the Trumpet and I enjoyed this project as much as I find playing the
Trumpet.
(That’s a lot).
A Man
Hi
I’m A Man. I play the cello. I get good report card (which is why I have the A
in front of my name). I enjoyed this project as much as I enjoyed working with
Mr Mozzie and Karate kid (which I enjoyed very much).
Our Journal of the project
Monday 26 May 2008
Today we built a tower of marshmallows and toothpicks. Ours was 19 ½ cm tall. We discussed after wards about how we can make it better. Mr McClement told us about ridges and how triangles can support a lot of pressure. Then we did a very easy puzzle of Australia.
2nd of June
My group was not here so I worked with
a different group. We had to name as many as possible we managed to name 13.
Then we had to think of 5 things that ants know about us the answers to ours
were; we know they have arms and legs, not many like us, some hot water down our
holes, they drop food and they are big and scary. The next question was why
would Australia run out of string?
Then we looked at some websites that have been done in previous years and discussed about them at the end.
28 of July
Today we decided our group name and it is called The Young Einstein’s.
1 August
Today we learned about how to use the software and how to make hyperlinks to other pages. Then we made our own mini web site. Our code names are Mr Mozzie, karate kid and the A man. He is smart.
2008-08-04
Today we made a mind map. When we were done we went on inspiration and put it on the computer. Then we talked about copyright laws and where you can find them for certain pictures and sentences. Then we went and did some research for our web site. We are doing Emblems so we went on Wikipedia and looked at the flags of the States.
Olympic day!
To start off today we did some warm up challenges. Then we went on the computer (well I did) and found pictures of floral emblems on Wikipedia and made hyperlinks to it. Then I made some hyper links to other word pages for research. Now I’m typing this journal entry.
11 August
Today we researched about our topic.
(Aussie emblems) We took turns on the computer and looking in books. (It’s very
good for you) Mr Mozzie learnt his e-mail address. See you.
15 of
August
Today we have found all of our information and Mr Mozzie sent a test
e-mail to his mother. The Karate kid is telling me that I’m typing in
third-person, I already know! He is so annoying sometimes. The A Man is
working very hard-well he was when I last looked. See ya.
25 August
Today we were making Buttons and were putting them in our web project. It was very stressful and especially when people are talking. I have nothing else to say.
